Dutch model, Jelicia Westhoff, has publicly accused Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye of physical assault and neglecting their child.
In recent months, Okoye has attracted widespread attention on social media, where his stylish photos have earned him admiration from many female fans.
Although the Nigerian international previously said he knows how to manage the attention he receives from women, recent reports have fuelled speculation that he is in a relationship.
For the past three weeks, rumours have linked Okoye with American rapper Cardi B. The pair were first seen together in France two weeks ago before they were recently spotted having dinner in Italy.
Neither Okoye nor Cardi B has confirmed they are dating, but their repeated public appearances together in two different countries have intensified speculation about a possible romance.
Amid the rumours, the Udinese goalkeeper is now facing serious allegations from his former partner.
Westhoff took to social media to accuse Okoye of physically abusing her during their relationship and cheating on her with both men and women. She said she had remained silent for years to protect his career.
She further alleged that the 26-year-old has abandoned their son and failed to provide either financial support or parental care.
“You don’t call your son, you don’t see your son? Because you’re too busy punishing his mother and being a baddie on social media,” Westhoff wrote.
“Your son that you wanted so badly when you were still broke and I had to give you money.”
“Think I’m stupid enough to be with someone like this! F**king people behind it force me to fix people’s image! I had no choice because when someone has an image they can do whatever they want, and if you don’t do what they want, you have a whole team coming after you. But you know what? Let me be the bad person, I don’t give a damn anymore.”
“I was so scared to take you to court, so scared to press charges, so scared to do anything because I knew you would punish our child. But you know what? I’ve been calm, I gave you a million chances, and do you take care of him? No. Because you have to see him in my house, otherwise you can’t be a father. You manipulative [slur].”
Westhoff also shared several Instagram posts and memes criticising fathers who fail to take responsibility for their children.
The former couple welcomed their son, Isaiah Amiel Okoye, in 2023.
As of the time of filing this report, Okoye has not publicly responded to the allegations.
