Super Eagles and Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, will not be available for Nigeria’s international friendly against Jordan’s Al-Nashama after suffering an injury.
The shot-stopper picked up a thigh problem during training, according to media officer Promise Efoghe.
As a result, the 26-year-old is set to return to Italy to continue his recovery with Udinese.
His absence leaves head coach Éric Chelle with Francis Uzoho and Adebayo Adeleye as the two options to replace him for the encounter against Jordan.
Uzoho previously stepped in for Stanley Nwabali during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Chelle currently has 21 players in camp after defenders Semi Ajayi and Bruno Onyemaechi both left the squad.
Ajayi departed due to injury concerns, while Onyemaechi was excused after his wife gave birth.
The Super Eagles are scheduled to face Jordan at Corendon Airlines Park on Tuesday.
Nigeria heads into the match on the back of a 2-1 victory over Iran at the same venue last Friday.
