Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and defender Michelle Alozie have joined Nigeria’s camp in Ijebu Ode ahead of the 2028 Olympic qualifying tie against Comoros.
The trio arrived alongside midfielder Jennifer Echegini and forward Folashade Ijamilusi, bringing the number of players in camp to 22 as the team steps up preparations for Friday’s first-leg encounter.
Four other players — Comfort Erhabor, Gift Monday, Joy Omewa and Uchenna Kanu — are still expected to join the squad ahead of the fixture.
The Super Falcons are scheduled to hold another training session at the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode on Wednesday night.
The Comoros women’s team arrived in Ijebu Ode on Monday and held their first training session on Tuesday night ahead of the Olympic qualifier.
The first leg, which was initially scheduled to be played in Comoros, has been moved to the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo.
The match will kick off at 6pm on Friday.
The return leg will also take place at the Remo Stars Stadium next Tuesday, meaning both matches of the two-legged qualifying tie will be played in Nigeria.
