The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, and his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, have celebrated 59 years of marriage.
Adeboye shared the milestone on his X account on Tuesday, thanking God for preserving their union and guiding them through the different stages of their lives together.
Reflecting on their journey, the cleric said their marriage had experienced various seasons, including moments of happiness, difficulties, personal growth and answered prayers.
He wrote, “seasons of joy, challenges, growth, answered prayers and countless reasons to give God thanks.”
Adeboye also described marriage as a commitment that requires spouses to continually choose each other, exercise patience, embrace growth and extend forgiveness.
According to him, couples should also maintain a life of prayer and remain dependent on God as they navigate the different seasons of marriage.
“Above all, we are grateful that God has been at the centre of our home. Every step of the way, He has remained faithful,” Adeboye said.
The respected cleric further expressed gratitude to family members, friends and others who have supported and prayed for him, his wife and their family over the years.
“As we celebrate 59 years together, our hearts are filled with thanksgiving to God and appreciation for everyone who has loved, prayed for and supported us and our family over the years.
“We are grateful for the journey so far, and we look forward to all that God still has in store.
“To God be all the glory,” he said.
Adeboye and his wife concluded their anniversary message with a reaffirmation of their gratitude for the years they have spent together.
They signed off, “With love, Pastor Enoch and Pastor Mrs Folu Adeboye. 59 Years and still grateful.”
