Pastor Adeboye to hold special prayer for singles, mothers

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has announced plans to hold a special prayer session dedicated to unmarried youths, waiting mothers, and their families.

According to Vanguard this was disclosed in a statement on Thursday in Lagos by Pastor Oladele Balogun, the Special Assistant to the General Overseer (Administration), RCCG.

According to the statement, Pastor Adeboye said the prayer session was divinely inspired and would focus on singles and mature singles, waiting and expectant mothers, as well as their families.

He noted that findings from recent population surveys in Nigeria revealed that singles, including mature singles, constitute over 40 per cent of the nation’s adult population.

“This reflected a vibrant but growing segment seeking marital settlement.

“Waiting and expectant mothers, numbering in the millions globally, include families believing God for the fruit of the womb, a deeply spiritual and emotional journey for many.

“Across the world, with RCCG’s presence in over 190 nations, these groups form a significant part of the church’s fellowship community, united by faith, hope, and prayer,” he said.

Adeboye further disclosed that the special prayer would take place during the November 2025 Thanksgiving Service, scheduled for November 2 at The Throne of Grace, RCCG National Headquarters, Ebute-Metta, Lagos, beginning at 8:00 a.m.
