Nigeria’s senior women’s national team, the Super Falcons, will take on Cape Verde in two international friendly matches later this month at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State.
The first game is scheduled for April 15, while the second meeting will take place three days later.
Both countries will use the matches as part of their build-up to the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The Super Falcons go into the fixtures with confidence, having enjoyed success against Cape Verde in their previous meetings during the 2023 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Nigeria secured a 2-1 victory away from home in the first leg before completing the job with an emphatic 5-0 triumph in the reverse fixture.
Coach Justine Madugu is expected to assemble his squad in Abuja this weekend ahead of the friendlies.
Nigeria’s last outing came in early March when they recorded a victory over Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses.
