Nigerian singer Keshinro Ololade, popularly known as Lil Kesh, has assured fans that he is safe after reports claimed he was robbed and stabbed in Lagos on Wednesday night.

The 30-year-old singer, known for his hit song Shoki, shared the update on his Instagram story on Thursday, thanking his supporters for their concern.

“Life threw me a curveball, but I’m safe, healing, and blessed to be here. Grateful for the love, support and prayers,” he wrote.

Reports had earlier stated that unknown attackers stabbed the artiste and carted away jewellery worth millions of naira during the attack. The Lagos State Police Command has yet to release an official statement on the incident, but Lil Kesh’s update has eased the fears of fans and fellow artistes, many of whom had flooded social media with prayers and messages of support since the news broke.

Lil Kesh, who has collaborated with big names like Olamide, Davido and Wizkid, currently has over 810,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
