Eredivisie: Goalkeeper Koeman bags brace as Telstar draw Cambuur

Telstar goalkeeper Ronald Koeman emerged as the unlikely hero after scoring two penalties to help his side secure a dramatic 2-2 draw against Cambuur.

Koeman first kept Telstar in the game shortly after the restart, producing a low save in the 48th minute to deny a goal-bound effort from the left.

The goalkeeper then showed remarkable composure at the opposite end of the pitch, converting from the penalty spot in the 63rd minute after Patrick Brouwer was fouled inside the area.

With Telstar still trailing, Koeman had another opportunity deep into stoppage time after VAR confirmed a late penalty.

He made no mistake from 12 yards, scoring in the 11th minute of second-half stoppage time to complete his brace and rescue a point for Telstar.

Koeman finished the match with two shots on target, two touches inside the penalty area and one save as his unusual contribution proved decisive.

Telstar will next travel to face FC Twente, while Cambuur will host NEC Nijmegen.
