WAFCON: Okoronkwo, Alozie, Kanu join Super Falcons camp in Morocco

Esther Okoronkwo, Michelle Alozie, and Uchenna Kanu have linked up with the Super Falcons’ training camp in Casablanca, Morocco, as Nigeria intensify preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Their arrival takes the number of players in camp to 22, with head coach Justine Madugu now closing in on having his full squad available for the tournament.

Three invited players—Gift Monday, Deborah Abiodun, and Folashade Ijamilusi, are yet to report. Their arrival will complete the team’s 25-player squad for the final stage of preparations.

The Super Falcons opened camp in Casablanca last Monday and are using the pre-tournament training period to fine-tune strategies ahead of the continental showpiece.

The nine-time African champions are camped at the Hotel Marriott in Casablanca.

Nigeria are expected to travel to Rabat this weekend before kicking off their title defence against Malawi’s Scorchers at the Al Madina Stadium on Tuesday, July 28.

Madugu’s side will also take on Zambia’s Copper Queens and Egypt in the group stage as they bid to retain their continental crown.
