Nigerian international goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye has completed a move to Greek Super League side FC Volos, signing a two-year contract with the club.
The 25-year-old joins the Cyan-Reds from Enosis Neon Paralimni, where he was a regular presence between the sticks, racking up 30 league appearances in the Cypriot top flight last season.
Adeleye began his professional career in 2019 with Israeli outfit Hapoel Katamon. After a season, he switched to Hapoel Jerusalem, playing a key role in their promotion to the Israeli Premier League during the 2021/22 campaign.
His impressive performances eventually earned him a call-up to the Nigerian national team, where he has been capped once by the Super Eagles.
FC Volos, who finished 11th in the Greek top division last term, are currently under the guidance of Spanish tactician Juan Ferrando Fenoll.
The team plays its home games at the 22,700-capacity Panthessaliko Stadium.
Adeleye’s move marks a new chapter in his career as he looks to establish himself in European football’s competitive landscape.
