NAHCON gives intending pilgrims seven-day deadline for 2027 Hajj registration

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has urged intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj to complete their registration and upload their details as the September 26 deadline approaches.

NAHCON issued the reminder on Saturday, saying only seven days remained for prospective pilgrims and other stakeholders to conclude the registration and data-upload process.

The commission, in a post on its official X account, urged intending pilgrims not to wait until the final days before completing the process.

“The countdown to the 26th September 2026 deadline for 2027 Hajj registration and pilgrim data upload has begun. Register early. Upload pilgrim data. Avoid the last-minute rush,” NAHCON stated.

The commission had earlier warned that failure to upload the required pilgrim information by the deadline could lead to the forfeiture of allocated slots.

The deadline is part of the timeline for preparations for the 2027 pilgrimage, particularly the digital processing and documentation of pilgrims’ information required by Saudi Arabian authorities.

NAHCON also announced that full payment for allocated Hajj slots would be due by December 2, 2026.

It advised intending pilgrims to make payments only through approved channels, including state pilgrims’ welfare boards or agencies, designated Hajj savings banks and licensed Hajj tour operators.

The latest reminder comes two days after Saudi Arabia rejected Nigeria’s request for an increase in its allocation for the 2027 pilgrimage.

Nigeria will therefore retain its approved quota of 50,000 pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj.
