Juventus boosted their UEFA Champions League qualification hopes with a narrow 1–0 away victory over Lecce, decided by the fastest goal of the Serie A season and leaving the hosts still four points clear of the relegation zone.
The game was effectively settled within 11 seconds. A direct ball forward was controlled by Teun Koopmeiners, who quickly combined with Andrea Cambiaso.
His delivery found Dušan Vlahović unmarked, and the striker finished calmly from close range to score his second goal in as many matches since returning from injury.
Lecce almost responded instantly, but Michele Di Gregorio made a sharp save to deny Walid Cheddira.
The frantic opening continued as Francisco Conceição hit the post, while Vlahović was again denied by Wladimiro Falcone, all within the first six minutes.
After the explosive start, the tempo dropped. Ylber Ramadani fired wide from distance for Lecce, while Gleison Bremer attempted an ambitious bicycle kick that went over.
Just before the break, Conceição won possession in midfield and set up Vlahović, but the striker fired over from the edge of the box.
Juventus thought they had doubled their lead early in the second half when Vlahović pounced on a rebound from Kenan Yıldız’s effort, but VAR ruled it out for offside.
Soon after, Pierre Kalulu turned in another Cambiaso delivery, only for VAR to again disallow the goal due to an offside in the build-up involving Vlahović.
Despite late pressure and missed chances from Yıldız and Vlahović, Juventus saw the game out. Lecce threatened through Thorir Johann Helgason and Konan N’Dri, but neither could equalise.
Under Luciano Spalletti, Juventus held firm to extend their unbeaten league run to 10 matches, moving four points clear of fifth place and strengthening their Champions League ambitions. Lecce, meanwhile, saw their three-game unbeaten run end but remain outside the relegation zone.
