Harry Kane and Luis Díaz both found the net as Bayern Munich powered to a convincing victory over Heidenheim on Sunday to cap off a dominant end to the year.
Vincent Kompany’s side stretched their advantage at the top of the Bundesliga table to nine points after dismantling Heidenheim 4-0 at the Voith-Arena, with Kane once again writing his name into the history books.
Josip Stanišić, Michael Olise, Díaz and Kane supplied the goals in a performance that underlined Bayern’s authority.
The breakthrough arrived in the 15th minute when Jonathan Tah met Olise’s inswinging corner and redirected it across goal, allowing Stanišić to nod home from close range.
Bayern doubled their lead just after the half-hour mark as Olise reacted quickest to a loose ball inside the penalty area, calmly finishing past goalkeeper Diant Ramaj.
Heidenheim threatened briefly after the restart, but substitute Stefan Schimmer was denied by the crossbar with a thumping header that spared the visitors.
Any lingering doubt was removed late on when Stanišić’s delivery from the right was met by Díaz, who rose highest to head in Bayern’s third goal with four minutes left.
Kane sealed the emphatic win deep into stoppage time, curling a precise shot into the bottom corner after being picked out by Serge Gnabry.
The strike marked the England captain’s 100th goal involvement in the Bundesliga.
Although his goal came late, Kane crowned an exceptional 2025 in which he scored a personal-best 51 club goals. He now boasts 81 Bundesliga goals and 19 assists, reaching the 100 mark in just 78 league appearances.
That achievement makes Kane the fastest player to hit triple figures for goal involvements in Germany’s top flight since detailed records began in 2004-05, doing so 41 games quicker than the previous benchmark set by Arjen Robben.
Bayern’s dominance was reflected in the statistics, as they fired 23 shots and generated 4.09 expected goals.
The result also extended their remarkable away record, with Kompany’s men finishing 2025 unbeaten in all 16 Bundesliga matches on the road (12 wins, four draws), only the third time in club history they have gone an entire calendar year without an away league defeat, after 1986 and 2013.
