Super Falcons ready to defend WAFCON title – Nnadozie

Chiamaka Nnadozie has affirmed that the Super Falcons are ready to defend their crown at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The West African giants are the reigning champions, having claimed a record-extending 10th title at the previous edition held in Morocco.

Nnadozie Dismisses Pressure
According to Nnadozie, the team feels no pressure to maintain their dominance on the continent.

“We are not under any pressure at all. We’ve worked so hard over the years to be where we are today,” the Brighton goalkeeper told the Super Falcons media.

“There are so many teams working hard to be in this position, and respect to all of them. But there’s no pressure.”

The Super Falcons are drawn in Group C alongside Malawi, Zambia, and Egypt. They will open their campaign against debutants Malawi on Wednesday, 18 March.

Morocco will host the tournament from 17 March to 3 April, with the top four semi-finalists earning qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
