Nigeria, South Africa, 10 others qualify for 2026 WAFCON

Twelve nations have secured their spots at the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026 following the completion of two rounds of qualifying matches.

Hosts Morocco, runners-up in the last two editions, will once again rely on home advantage as they aim to lift their first-ever continental trophy, having narrowly fallen 2–1 to South Africa in the 2022 final.

The Confédération Africaine de Football confirmed the list of qualified teams on Wednesday.

Nigeria, ten-time champions, enter the tournament as favorites, with the Super Falcons seeking to extend their dominance in African women’s football by claiming an 11th title.
