Harry Kane continued to etch his name into Bundesliga history as he scored in Bayern Munich’s commanding 3-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
Former Liverpool winger Luis Diaz also stole the show, netting twice, including a lightning-fast opener in just 15 seconds.
With this performance, Kane became the first player ever to score 11 goals in his first six league appearances of a Bundesliga season.
The match exploded into life almost immediately. From the kickoff, Kane sent a precise pass to goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who launched a long clearance.
Kane cleverly flicked the ball into the box, and a sloppy clearance by Robin Koch allowed Serge Gnabry to slide a pass to Diaz, who calmly finished to put Bayern ahead.
Frankfurt briefly thought they had equalized in the 14th minute through Jean-Matteo Bahoya, following a move orchestrated by Ritsu Doan and Hugo Larsson.
But after a VAR review, the goal was disallowed as Doan had handled the ball in the buildup.
Bayern doubled their lead before the half-hour mark. Joshua Kimmich threaded a perfect pass to Diaz, who squared it to Kane.
The England captain unleashed a powerful shot to make it 2-0. Kane almost added another after halftime, but his close-range effort struck the woodwork.
Diaz wrapped up the scoring with a second goal late in the game, dribbling past Koch before slotting home.
Kane, however, was forced off soon after due to an ankle injury following a challenge from Kaua Santos. He briefly returned before Vincent Kompany replaced him with Nicolas Jackson.
Once again, Kane proved pivotal, creating the first goal and scoring the second. Meanwhile, Frankfurt’s Koch endured a nightmare night, contributing to both goals through defensive errors.
Bayern now look ahead to a high-stakes Bundesliga clash against rivals Borussia Dortmund on October 18, following the international break.
