Super Falcons forward, Omorinsola Babajide, marked a milestone by netting her first league goal for AS Roma Women, helping her side to a commanding 4-0 victory over Parma in their season opener on Saturday.
Babajide broke the deadlock in the 28th minute, putting Roma 2-0 ahead and setting the tone for a dominant performance.
This goal adds to her tally, making it her second for the club across all competitions after she previously scored in a 3-0 Coppa Italia win over Sassuolo in September.
With the triumph over Parma, Roma climb to second place in the Serie A Women standings, just behind league leaders Inter Milan.
The side has enjoyed a strong start to the campaign, winning four of their five outings in all competitions.
The team now shifts focus to a high-profile clash against Real Madrid in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, scheduled for Wednesday.
