Kane urges Bayern to reinforce squad ahead Bundesliga kickoff

Bayern Munich striker, Harry Kane, has called on the club to strengthen their squad ahead of the Bundesliga season.

After their narrow 2-1 victory over Stuttgart in the German Super Cup, the England captain highlighted the need for reinforcements following a relatively quiet summer in the transfer market.

Kane described Bayern’s current roster as “one of the smallest” he has ever been a part of, sparking concern among fans and football analysts.

“It’s probably one of the smallest squads I’ve ever played in. There’s still time until the transfer window closes and decisions could be made by (board member for sport) Max (Eberl), (sporting director) Christoph (Freund) and the coach,” he told talkSPORT.

He added, “We have some young players who have done very well in pre-season. We’re a bit thin, but that’s not in the players’ control.”

With the summer transfer window shutting on September 1, Bayern face a crucial decision before their upcoming Bundesliga clash with RB Leipzig on Friday.
