Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala, has defended Manuel Neuer, insisting Bayern Munich would have struggled to reach the UEFA Champions League semi-finals without the veteran goalkeeper.
Her comments followed Bayern’s 5-4 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in Tuesday’s first-leg clash.
Although the encounter delivered plenty of excitement, post-match discussions largely centred on Neuer, who had a challenging outing between the posts for Bayern.
The experienced shot-stopper conceded five goals without making a save, drawing criticism from some quarters.
However, Oshoala backed Neuer in a post shared on her official X account, describing his performance as an off day.
