Trabzonspor have reportedly placed a €30m price tag on Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu as Saudi Pro League club Al Ahli continue their pursuit of the forward.
The 32-year-old Super Eagles striker is facing an uncertain future at the Turkish club, despite only returning permanently last season.
Al Ahli are believed to be the leading contenders for his signature and are expected to hold another meeting with Trabzonspor this week over a possible transfer.
Onuachu is reportedly open to leaving the Turkish side, but any move will depend on whether his suitors are willing to meet Trabzonspor’s valuation.
The striker returned to Trabzonspor for a second spell after spending the 2023/24 season on loan at the club from Southampton.
He subsequently completed a permanent move to the Turkish outfit.
Onuachu enjoyed an outstanding campaign last season, scoring 26 goals in all competitions.
He netted 22 times in the league to finish as the Turkish Super Lig’s joint top scorer alongside Istanbul Basaksehir’s Eldor Shomurodov.
He also played a key role in Trabzonspor’s Turkish Cup success, scoring twice in the 2025 final as his side defeated Konyaspor 2-1.
Trabzonspor had previously rejected two bids for the Nigerian and remained determined to retain their Golden Boot winner.
However, the club’s stance appears to have softened as they close in on the signing of former Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez from Al Hilal.
Should Nunez complete his move to Trabzonspor, the arrival of the Uruguayan could provide the Turkish club with a replacement and make it easier for Onuachu to leave.
Several clubs have shown interest in the Nigerian.
Turkish giants Fenerbahce were previously linked with him but have reportedly abandoned their pursuit after signing Romelu Lukaku from Napoli.
Al Hilal could also emerge as another destination for Onuachu.
The Saudi club have already reportedly seen a €130m offer for fellow Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen rejected by Galatasaray.
With Karim Benzema potentially leaving Al Hilal, the Saudi giants could turn to alternative attacking options, with Onuachu potentially among their targets.
For now, Onuachu remains a Trabzonspor player, but his future could be resolved in the coming days as Al Ahli continue efforts to secure his services just one year after his permanent return to Turkey.
