PSG still hungry for success despite UCL back-to-back UCL wins, says Doue

Paris Saint-Germain forward, Desire Doue, has vowed that the club will continue striving for greater achievements after successfully defending their UEFA Champions League crown.

PSG retained the title on Saturday after defeating Arsenal 4-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw after extra time at the Puskas Arena.

The victory made the French champions only the second club this century to win back-to-back Champions League titles, emulating Real Madrid’s achievement.

Doue, who starred in PSG’s 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in the 2025 final, was among the scorers in the penalty shootout.

The contest had finished level after Ousmane Dembele cancelled out Kai Havertz’s early opener for Arsenal.

Reflecting on the achievement, the 20-year-old expressed pride in the team’s accomplishment while insisting they remain hungry for more success.

“We are so, so proud. So happy, so grateful, because it was a tough game against a very good team, so we have to congratulate [Arsenal] because they had a really good season,” he told TNT Sports.

“But we have to celebrate as a team, as a family – we deserve it. Look at the crowd, our family. I want to say thank you. I had a prayer, to win the Champions League again, and I’m so happy.

“We have to stay humble also. It’s crazy, but we’re going to work more, we are a hungry team and we know we have ambitions – next season, we have to go again.”

The triumph also extended Luis Enrique’s flawless record in Champions League finals, with the Spaniard now winning all three finals he has managed.

Defender Illia Zabarnyi paid tribute to the PSG coach after the match.

“Luis Enrique is a magic man, he fights for us, we fight for him,” said Illia Zabarnyi, who came on as a second-half substitute. “It’s unbelievable.”
