Dembélé misses training as Pacho, Mendes return for PSG, Arsenal UCLfinal clash

Paris Saint-Germain forward, Ousmane Dembélé, missed training on the eve of the UEFA Champions League final against Arsenal, while defenders Willian Pacho and Nuno Mendes have both returned to team sessions ahead of the showdown, The Standard reports.

Pacho and Mendes have been sidelined since PSG’s Champions League semi-final second-leg draw against Bayern Munich on May 6.

Their absence saw them miss the club’s subsequent three matches, including a 2-0 Ligue 1 victory over RC Lens that secured the league title for the Parisians.

However, with the final in Budapest just around the corner, both defenders have now rejoined full training, boosting hopes that they will be available for selection in the European showpiece.

Elsewhere, right-back Achraf Hakimi and Dembélé were absent from the latest session.

Hakimi has been out since picking up a hamstring injury during the thrilling 5-4 first-leg win over Bayern Munich, but he has resumed individual training and is expected to recover in time for the final.

Dembélé, meanwhile, was forced off during PSG’s defeat to Paris FC last Sunday after appearing to struggle with a suspected calf issue.

Despite the scare, Luis Enrique has played down concerns over a serious setback, suggesting the forward’s condition is being closely monitored ahead of the decisive fixture.
