Nollywood actress and influencer, Priscilla Ojo, has publicly unveiled the face of her son, Rakeem Mkambala, as he celebrates his first birthday.
Priscilla, daughter of actress Iyabo Ojo, shared photos of the birthday boy on Instagram on Monday, August 24, marking the first time she has publicly shown his face.
In a heartfelt birthday message, she described Rakeem as her “greatest answered prayer” and expressed gratitude for the joy and love he had brought to her and her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux.
She wrote, “Watching you grow has been the biggest blessing. You are the most cheeky, happy, cleverest little pumpkin. You light up every room you walk into and we’re so proud to be your parents.”
Reflecting on his first year, Priscilla said motherhood had given her countless memorable moments.
She added, “365 days of loving you, cuddling you, and watching your beautiful personality shine. You are curious, so joyful, so smart and so full of life. You make every day better just by being you.”
The actress also offered prayers for her son, asking that he grow up healthy, happy and purposeful
“We pray you grow up healthy, happy and full of purpose. We pray God guides your steps and orders your path. We pray you know how deeply you are loved, every single day,” she said.
Priscilla further prayed that Rakeem would retain his cheerful personality and pure heart as he grows older.
“You are our greatest answered prayer. Happy 1st Birthday, our sunshine. We love you endlessly,” she wrote.
Rakeem was born on August 24, 2025, in Canada, to Priscilla and Jux, making him their first child.
The couple had announced their pregnancy in July 2025 and later celebrated the arrival of their son with family, friends and fans.
Following his birth, Rakeem became a subject of considerable attention online, with an Instagram account reportedly created in his name attracting tens of thousands of followers shortly after its launch.
However, Priscilla had kept his face away from the public, indicating that she would reveal him when she considered the timing appropriate.
His first birthday has now marked that moment, with the proud mother sharing photos of her son with her followers.
The family subsequently reunited in Tanzania after Priscilla and Rakeem returned from Canada, where Jux welcomed his wife and son.
