Kano CP praises residents for peaceful by-election

The Kano State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, has commended residents of Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area for maintaining peace and cooperating with security personnel during Saturday’s state constituency by-election.

Bakori gave the commendation while monitoring voting activities at various polling units in the local government area alongside the Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Kano State, Zango Abdu, and other members of the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security.

The police command’s spokesperson, CSP Abdullahi Haruna, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists on Saturday.

Haruna quoted the commissioner as saying, “I commend the people of Dawakin Kudu for their peaceful conduct and cooperation with security agencies throughout the electoral process.”
