Iran’s delegation returned to Tehran on Monday after what state media described as nearly 18 hours of intensive negotiations and consultations, according to the state-run IRIB.
The team, led by Iran’s Parliament Speaker and chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, departed following the conclusion of the Lake Lucerne Summit in Burgenstock, Switzerland.
Mediators from Qatar and Pakistan earlier described the discussions as being conducted in a “positive and constructive atmosphere” and said they produced “encouraging progress.”
According to the mediators, the parties agreed on several frameworks intended to keep the negotiations moving toward a final agreement.
These include setting up a High-Level Committee, establishing technical working groups, and adopting a 60-day roadmap aimed at reaching a final deal.
Further technical discussions are expected to resume later this week to address unresolved issues.
