Bundesliga: Dortmund beat Hoffenheim to climb third spot

Borussia Dortmund secured third place in the Bundesliga with a convincing 2-0 triumph over Hoffenheim on Sunday.

Julian Brandt broke the deadlock just before halftime, giving the hosts a vital lead.

In the 60th minute, Nico Schlotterbeck extended Dortmund’s advantage with a powerful, curling strike that found the bottom corner.

The victory brings Dortmund within a single point of second-placed RB Leipzig, who earlier routed Eintracht Frankfurt 6-0 on Saturday.
