Bayern beat Stuttgart 4-2, lift 35th Bundesliga title

Bayern Munich sealed their 35th Bundesliga title in style with a 4-2 comeback win over VfB Stuttgart, opening up a commanding 15-point lead over Borussia Dortmund with four matches left to play.

The champions had to come from behind after Stuttgart struck first, but a ruthless attacking burst saw Bayern score four times to flip the game on its head and confirm their dominance once again this season.

“It’s been a fantastic season for us,” said Harry Kane, who found the net in the victory. “To wrap up the title like this, with the goals we’ve scored, is a credit to the team. There’s still more ahead, but moments like this make all the effort worthwhile.”

Bayern’s attacking power has been unmatched, with the Bavarian giants already surpassing the Bundesliga’s single-season scoring record—netting 109 goals so far and counting.

Kane, leading the scoring charts with 32 goals, remains in pursuit of Robert Lewandowski’s historic 41-goal record.

While matching that tally will require a remarkable late surge, the England captain is on course to claim the Golden Boot and could make history as the first player to win the award in each of his first three Bundesliga seasons.

Under Vincent Kompany, Bayern have now secured back-to-back league titles since his arrival in 2024, firmly reasserting their domestic authority after Bayer Leverkusen briefly disrupted their reign with a historic unbeaten double last season.

The title-clinching win did not come easily. Stuttgart took a shock lead in the 21st minute through Chris Führich, but Bayern responded emphatically.

Raphaël Guerreiro levelled after a brilliant solo effort from Jamal Musiala, before Nicolas Jackson fired them ahead moments later. Alphonso Davies added a third before the break to cap a stunning six-minute turnaround.

Kane then extended the lead shortly after halftime, putting the result beyond doubt, although Stuttgart grabbed a late consolation through Chema Andrés.

With the Bundesliga title secured, Bayern now turn their focus to a crucial domestic cup clash against Leverkusen and a high-stakes Champions League semi-final showdown with Paris Saint-Germain later this month.
