The Enugu State University of Science and Technology has suspended three students of its Faculty of Law for two academic sessions over examination malpractice.
The affected students, two males and a female, are Isong Ugwu, Gad Nwosu and Roseline Nnamani.
The suspension, which commenced on June 25, 2026, will end on June 24, 2028.
The university’s Registrar, Ambrose Ugwu, disclosed this in separate memos issued to the students in Enugu on Monday.
He said the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Aloysius-Michaels Okolie, approved the recommendations of the Senate Examinations Malpractice Committee on behalf of the university’s Senate.
The Registrar instructed the affected students to immediately leave the university campus and surrender any institution-owned property in their possession to their respective Heads of Department.
He said the students’ sponsors and the National Universities Commission had also been notified of the disciplinary action.
According to him, “the students will be required to apply for readmission upon the expiration of their suspension in June 2028.”
Meanwhile, the university cleared another law student, Goodluck Iwuamadi, of an examination malpractice allegation.
Iwuamadi, whose registration number is ESUT/2025030227502, was exonerated following the recommendation of the Senate Examinations Malpractice Committee.
The university said the decision followed the committee’s findings on the allegation against him.
