Youtuber-turned-boxer, Jake Paul, has boldly claimed he is a superior fighter compared to former Olympic gold medalist and two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, ahead of their highly anticipated showdown on Friday night at the Kaseya Center in Miami.
Paul, 28, is riding a six-fight winning streak following a split-decision loss to Tommy Fury in February 2023.
His most recent victory came on June 28, when he defeated former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. via a dominant unanimous decision.
Joshua, 36, will step into the ring for the first time since his fifth-round knockout defeat to ex-IBF champion Daniel Dubois in September 2024 at London’s Wembley Stadium.
Speaking to World Boxing News, Paul did not hold back, proclaiming himself the better boxer.
“In terms of boxing, I’m a better boxer than AJ, which is hilarious to say,” Paul said.
“He’s got two left feet, he’s stiff. If I was his coach, I’d put him in a dance class first before trying to box. [I’ve brought] in the right sparring partners to help me prepare so that I can get looks that are similar to him.
“That’s been the strategy, but I’m going to go in there and display all of my skills.”
