The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has set September 25, 2026, as the final deadline for registration and payment of deposits by intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj.
The board’s Director-General, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle, disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday by its Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman Dederi, in Kano.
The board fixed the Hajj deposit at N8 million and urged prospective pilgrims to complete the necessary payments and registration before the deadline to secure their places.
Ibrahim-Matawalle said, “All intending pilgrims should complete their payments and registration before the deadline to secure their places for pilgrimage.”
He warned that the board would not extend the registration period or allocate Hajj seats to intending pilgrims who failed to meet the September 25 deadline.
According to him, the deadline was necessary to give the board sufficient time to effectively plan and coordinate activities for the 2027 pilgrimage.
The Director-General assured intending pilgrims of the board’s commitment to ensuring a smooth, transparent and hitch-free Hajj operation.
He also urged prospective pilgrims to comply with all registration requirements within the stipulated period to avoid losing the opportunity to participate in the pilgrimage.
The board advised intending pilgrims to take the deadline seriously, noting that no seat would be allocated to anyone who failed to complete the registration and payment process within the approved timeframe.
