Why I won’t interfere in Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham rift – Ogogo

Veteran Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan, widely known as Ogogo, has made it clear he will not step into the ongoing rift between Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham, describing disputes among women as particularly difficult to mediate.

Speaking in a recent interview, the respected actor explained that he deliberately avoids such situations, emphasizing that conflicts between women often escalate in ways that make outside intervention ineffective.

He went as far as comparing such disagreements to historic wars in terms of their complexity.

He said, “If they have sense, they should understand that God has favoured them and they should be joyful. I don’t interfere in disputes among women. When men have issues, they talk them through and move on, but when it’s between women, it becomes more complicated than war—very difficult for anyone to step into. It is always worse than Hitler’s war, so it is hard for anybody to interfere.

“Any man who gets involved is not acting wisely. What is the reason for the fight? What is really the problem when God has already blessed both of them? Is fighting the next step? Very soon, they will come back to their senses. It is not even my business. If they choose to be jealous of each other, that’s on them. They are all my children, and anyone who does not want to be part of us, we will avoid.”

Ogogo’s remarks come amid growing public attention on the strained relationship between the two actresses.

The situation intensified after a video circulated online showing Funke Akindele appearing to ignore Toyin Abraham’s greeting at the movie premiere hosted by Iyabo Ojo.

Iyabo Ojo has since spoken on the matter, revealing that she had previously attempted to reconcile both parties but has now chosen to step back from any further involvement.

Meanwhile, Toyin Abraham’s husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi, publicly expressed appreciation for his wife’s composure and support, while also suggesting that she has decided to remain silent despite the ongoing public discourse surrounding the issue.
