Sevilla set €15m price tag as Venezia close in on Akor Adams

Sevilla are prepared to allow the departure of Super Eagles striker Akor Adams this summer but will only do business if their €15 million valuation is met.

The La Liga side are overhauling their attacking options to address financial pressures, with Adams emerging as one of the club’s most valuable assets following an impressive campaign in which he registered 10 goals and four assists.

According to Zona Mixta, the 25-year-old has already reached a full agreement with Italian side Venezia on a contract that will run until June 2030. However, the transfer remains dependent on the two clubs agreeing on a fee.

Venezia’s initial €10 million offer fell short of Sevilla’s asking price, with the Spanish club unwilling to accept anything below their valuation despite their need to raise funds.

Adams, who was granted additional rest after the season, did not report for Sevilla’s opening pre-season training on Monday, fuelling speculation that his move to Serie A is edging closer.

Meanwhile, Sevilla are also working to offload Rafa Mir as part of their squad restructuring.

The striker, who spent last season on loan at Elche, has been excluded from first-team training as the club seeks to reduce its wage bill.

Mir has one year remaining on his contract, but his future has been further clouded after receiving a first-instance prison sentence of eight and a half years for sexual assault and injuries, a development that has complicated efforts to secure his departure.
