La Liga: Sevilla boss Garcia hails Akor Adams after Villarreal win

Sevilla CF manager, Luis García, has heaped praise on Nigerian forward Akor Adams after his decisive display helped secure a thrilling 3-2 win over Villarreal CF on Wednesday night.

The striker once again proved to be the difference-maker for the Andalusian side, producing a finely taken left-footed finish in the second half.

The goal came after he reacted sharply inside the penalty area to a clever assist from Djibril Sow, sealing all three points in a tightly contested encounter.

It was another defining moment in what has become a productive campaign for Adams, who continues to grow in importance within the Sevilla setup.

The strike marked his fourth goal directly responsible for securing victories this season, following earlier match-winning contributions against Rayo Vallecano, Athletic Bilbao, and RCD Espanyol.

Speaking after the match, García did not hide his admiration for the Nigerian international’s performance and mentality.

“Akor, now Akor again, is phenomenal,” Garcia said via Futbol Fantasy. “Maupay had a brutal job. Well, I hope I understand myself and, damn, what a tough guy and all. Maybe it’s not done yet. Until it’s done, I’m not going to relax for a second. Not a second.”

Adams, 25, has been in strong form throughout the season, registering 10 goals and four assists in 31 appearances across all competitions.
