Ruben Neves Urges Man Utd’s Fernandes to join Al-Hilal

Ruben Neves has expressed his enthusiasm about the possibility of playing alongside Bruno Fernandes at Al-Hilal, as the Manchester United captain weighs a lucrative offer from the Saudi Arabian giants.

Fernandes is reportedly considering a stunning move to the Saudi Pro League, with Al-Hilal ready to splash out £200 million over a three-year deal, equating to £700,000 per week.

The Portuguese midfielder is yet to make a final decision, but his international teammate Neves is keen to see him make the switch.

Speaking to A Bola, Neves said, “I recommend all the players in the national team, of course. Portugal has produced a lot of talent and continues to do so. We are a lucky country in that respect. We are also very hard-working. A very small country but one that has produced excellent players. I would like to have any player from the national team in my team.”

The Al-Hilal midfielder’s comments come amid reports that Fernandes held direct talks with club representatives in Riyadh earlier this week.

According to Mail Sport, the meeting was described as “positive” by insiders close to the situation.

Fernandes had previously hinted at the possibility of an exit following Manchester United’s Europa League final loss, stating he would be open to leaving if the club chose to “cash in” on him.

Al-Hilal are pushing to finalise the transfer swiftly as they gear up for the Club World Cup later this month.

In addition to targeting Fernandes, the club is also reportedly working to persuade Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi to take over as head coach ahead of the global tournament.
