Oyo to audit staff Monday in line with FG direction

The Oyo State Government has announced it will commence a comprehensive staff audit for centrally deployed cadres across all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies from Monday, July 14 to Friday, July 25, 2025.

This move aligns with the Federal Government’s directive on workforce evaluation and data verification, as disclosed by the Commissioner for Establishments and Training, Salihu Adelabu, in a statement issued in Ibadan on Saturday.

According to Adelabu, the exercise is intended to enhance efficiency in public service operations and improve data accuracy on the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System.

“The audit aims to optimize workforce management and ensure operational effectiveness across MDAs,” Adelabu stated.

“It will support accurate documentation, aid records management, and help build a reliable database for officers in the Centrally Deployed Cadres.”

He emphasized that the state government’s efforts are in full alignment with the Federal Government’s initiative through the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation.

“This proactive step reflects Oyo State’s commitment to accountability, transparency, and improved service delivery,” the commissioner added.

Adelabu called on all government agencies to cooperate fully with the audit team to ensure a successful and transparent exercise.
