Oyo State Governor and presidential candidate of the Allied People’s Movement, Seyi Makinde, is set to inaugurate the party’s 2027 Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council in the state on Friday.
The inauguration is scheduled to take place at 3:30 p.m. at the Conference Room of the Governor’s Office in Ibadan, according to a statement issued on Wednesday by Makinde’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju.
The statement named the Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, Nureni Adeniran, as the Oyo State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign and Director-General of the state Governorship Campaign Council.
It added that Saheed Arowosaye, a former Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, would serve as Deputy State Coordinator of the presidential campaign.
The campaign council also includes the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Demola Ojo, who was appointed Deputy Director-General (South).
Femi Ojo and Siju Lawal were named Deputy Directors-General for the Oyo Central and Oyo North Senatorial Districts respectively.
The statement further announced Ramata Agberemi Dabo as Director of the Women’s Wing, while Kazeem Bolarinwa, a former Special Assistant to the governor on Youth Affairs, was appointed Director of the Youth Wing.
The statement said, “Additional members of the campaign structure will be announced in due course.”
The inauguration is expected to mark the commencement of the party’s formal campaign structure in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
