JAMB releases 2026 UTME mop-up results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released the results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination mop-up exercise.

The Board announced the development on Tuesday, noting that candidates who participated in the exercise can now access their results through its official result-checking platforms.

According to JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, the release follows the successful completion of the mop-up examination and marks the beginning of the next phase of the admission process.

He said, “Candidates who participated in the examination can check their results through the Board’s established result-checking channels.”

Benjamin further explained that the Board will now proceed with ranking candidates, a key step in determining admission placement into tertiary institutions across the country.

He added, “Following the successful conclusion of the mop-up exercise and the release of the results, the Board will commence the ranking of candidates. Thereafter, the printing of results for admission purposes is expected to begin before the weekend.”

The mop-up examination was conducted on Saturday, June 13, 2026, as a second-chance test for candidates who were originally scheduled for the main UTME but were unable to sit for it due to biometric verification challenges, technical disruptions, or other examination-related issues.

The main 2026 UTME was earlier held between April 16 and April 25, 2026.

JAMB also appreciated candidates and other stakeholders for their patience throughout the examination and results processing period.
