FG secures release of 100 kidnapped Niger schoolchildren

The Federal Government has facilitated the release of 100 abducted pupils from St. Mary’s Private Catholic Primary and Secondary School in Papiri, located in Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State.

Reports from TVC News and Channels Television on Sunday confirmed the development, though an official announcement from the federal authorities was still pending at the time of filing this report.

The tragic incident occurred on November 21, when armed bandits invaded the quiet community in the early hours of the morning.

Arriving on motorbikes around 2 a.m., the attackers unleashed terror for nearly three hours as they stormed the school premises.
