Atalanta manager, Ivan Juric, has said he expects Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman to refocus on his duties with the club following the collapse of his summer move to Inter Milan.
The Nigerian forward had pushed for a transfer to the Serie A champions, even submitting a request to leave and skipping training sessions after Atalanta turned down Inter’s €40 million plus add-ons bid.
Lookman has since been reintegrated into the La Dea squad after showing improved commitment and professionalism.
The 27-year-old recently featured for Nigeria in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Lesotho, and Juric is optimistic that he will maintain the same renewed mindset.
“I hope that he will return from international duty with the same attitude that I saw in the last two or three weeks that he worked with us, where I had no complaints,” Juric told Sport Mediaset.
“It was a great attitude, really positive, and I want to make up for the time we lost over the summer. He is not yet at his best, but I hope to see the right spirit from him.”
