Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that Cristhian Mosquera will be sidelined for “weeks” due to injury, according to talkSPORT.
The Gunners suffered a major setback in their Premier League title bid on Saturday, falling 2-1 to Aston Villa thanks to a dramatic stoppage-time winner.
Emi Buendia netted the decisive goal in the fifth minute of added time at Villa Park, sealing a late defeat for the league leaders.
Arsenal were already without their usual centre-back pairing of Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba due to injury, with Jurrien Timber and Piero Hincapie filling in.
Mosquera also missed the squad after sustaining an ankle injury during their 2-0 midweek victory over Brentford.
