Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has agreed a new contract with the Premier League champions, according to BBC Sport.
The Spanish coach’s current deal was due to expire at the end of the season, but negotiations over an extension have been ongoing for several months.
An agreement was reportedly close earlier this month, and Arteta has now reached a final agreement with the club to continue in his role.
The exact length of the new contract has not been confirmed, but it is expected to keep Arteta at Arsenal for at least 10 years following his appointment in December 2019.
The new deal is also expected to come with a significant increase on his current £10m annual salary, in addition to £5m in bonuses.
Arteta had recently addressed the ongoing negotiations, assuring supporters that there was no reason for concern over his future.
“I’m extremely happy and I feel very grateful to work with the people I work with,” he said.
Arteta has guided Arsenal to their first Premier League title in 20 years and remains focused on building on the club’s recent success.
The Gunners also came close to winning their first Champions League title last season, a setback that has reportedly strengthened the manager’s desire to achieve more with the club.
