Atlético Madrid assistant coach, Luis Tevenet, has hailed Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman as one of the club’s most impactful acquisitions in recent years following his impressive start in Spain.
The 28-year-old winger arrived from Serie A outfit Atalanta during the winter transfer window and quickly established himself as a key figure in the squad.
Since his move, the Nigeria international has contributed seven goals and four assists in 18 appearances across all competitions under head coach Diego Simeone.
Tevenet highlighted Lookman’s influence on the team’s attacking play, particularly his pace and creativity on the flanks.
“With the arrival of Lookman he has the speed that the team demanded,” Tevenet told AS.
“For me he (Lookman) has been one of the club’s most important signings in the last six, seven years: now Atleti is much more ambiguous on both sides.”
