The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released the results of candidates who sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination on Monday, April 20, 2026, continuing its daily batch-by-batch publication of scores.
The board confirmed the development in a statement on Tuesday, through its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, who said candidates could now access their results using approved channels.
“The results for Monday, 20th have been released. Candidates can view their results using the usual process,” the statement read.
According to JAMB, candidates are to check their scores by sending “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 via SMS, using the phone number used during registration.
The latest release forms part of the ongoing staggered publication of results since the examination commenced on Thursday, April 16, 2026. More than two million candidates are participating in the computer-based test nationwide.
Earlier batches covering Thursday, as well as a combined release for Friday and Saturday candidates, had already been published. However, the Friday-Saturday results were delayed beyond the board’s initial timeline, sparking complaints from some candidates who waited for updates.
The examination body later attributed the delay to the unavailability of its chief executive due to official duties, noting that this affected the processing schedule.
Despite the setback, JAMB proceeded with Sunday’s release before moving on to the Monday results, maintaining its phased approach to result publication.
The board has continued to assure candidates of timely updates as the examination exercise progresses.
