The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced the release of results for candidates who participated in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted between April 16 and April 18 across Nigeria.
In a statement issued on Sunday, JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, confirmed that over 1.8 million results have so far been processed and made available to candidates.
According to him, “The results of candidates who sat for the examination on Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18, 2026, have now been released. A total of 1,264,940 results from the two days are currently available for candidates to check.”
Benjamin added that the newly released figures build on an earlier batch of results from candidates who wrote the exam on Thursday, April 16.
“We had earlier released 632,752 results from the first day of the examination. This brings the total number of results released so far to 1,897,692,” he said.
The board explained that the released results represent outcomes from the first three days of the nationwide examination exercise, which began on April 16 and is expected to involve over two million candidates at accredited computer-based test centres
JAMB also reiterated its official result-checking procedure, urging candidates to use its designated SMS channels.
“To check their results, candidates should send ‘UTMERESULT’ to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration,” Benjamin stated.
The examination body assured candidates that the processing of remaining results is ongoing, emphasizing its commitment to ensuring a transparent and efficient exercise nationwide.
