Generator fire rocks Peller’s new home

Popular Nigerian online streamer, Peller, has narrowly escaped what could have been a devastating loss after a fire incident at his multimillion-naira mansion in the early hours of Saturday, February 21, 2026.

The 21-year-old content creator, whose real name is Habeeb Hamzat, disclosed that his newly acquired generator suddenly went up in flames, triggering panic within the residence.

According to him, the fire raged for more than 30 minutes before it was finally brought under control, with the blaze threatening to spread to the main building.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, chaos could be seen unfolding as occupants of the house ran in different directions in a desperate attempt to contain the fire.

The intensity of the heat reportedly began affecting parts of the structure, heightening fears that the situation could spiral into a full-blown disaster.

The frightening incident comes just days after Peller posted an emotional video celebrating his achievements and expressing disbelief at owning a mansion at such a young age.

Sharing footage from the scene, the visibly shaken TikTok star reflected on the ordeal, writing, “This happen early this morning, my new generator almost burn down my new house, but God saved us, it take us over 30 minutes to off the fire, All I can say is God saved us🙏🏽😞😭.”

As news of the incident spread, social media users flooded various platforms with reactions, some expressing sympathy and gratitude, while others raised concerns about safety precautions.

Reacting critically to the situation, Instagram user @onlineguru__ questioned the preparedness of the household, writing, “You can have money and still be an ed!0t sha Such a big house with no fire extinguisher sad! With the kind of money he has what is he doing with Generator when he can afford to power the whole house with Solar.”

Highlighting what he believed was a technical flaw, @Remzyfit1 pointed to poor ventilation around the generator area, stating, “Omoh where they put generator is too chock, barely any space between house and the fence, not much ventilation and heat would have easily cause fire. Stay safe guys.”

Similarly, @damiflex015 advised a shift in power solutions, suggesting, “With all that TikTok money, Peller needs to leave those ‘I pass my neighbor’ generators alone and invest in industrial solar.”

Questioning whether the situation was avoidable, @belloah44 expressed concern over safety measures in the mansion, remarking, “So everything na Content to Peller? How generator space go dey tight like that? Then dis kind big house no Fire extinguisher 🧯? Omo last last school no be scam o.”

Echoing the seriousness of the incident, @callmiAbbas cautioned, “Omo this not a joke, he really needs to be careful.”

On the other hand, some supporters focused on gratitude rather than criticism. Offering prayers and well-wishes, user @ola_unique01 wrote, “Alhamdulilahi, it’s not more than this, God will keep protecting you and your household. Evil will not fall on you and your family and friends.”

Thankfully, the flames were extinguished before they could consume the building, and no injuries were reported.

While the ordeal has sparked debate about generator safety, ventilation, and the availability of fire extinguishers in luxury homes, it has also served as a sobering reminder of the risks associated with alternative power sources.

For Peller, the near-tragedy appears to have prompted a reassessment of his power setup, with indications that he may transition fully to solar energy.

What began as a terrifying moment has now become a powerful lesson in precaution, preparedness, and gratitude.
