The Federal Capital Territory Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced that December 1 is the final date for intending pilgrims to make payments for the 2026 Hajj.
According to the board’s spokesman, Muhammad Aliyu, in a statement, the new Hajj fare has been set at N7.69 million, as released by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria.
“Intending Pilgrims who have the intention of performing Hajj through the board should complete payment before the deadline to book for a seat to be part of the religious journey,” the statement said. “All payments to the Board must be via a bank draft as no cash transaction will be entertained.”
The board explained that payments made ahead of the deadline would allow it to compile an accurate list of intending pilgrims for the exercise.
It added that this process would also ensure timely remittance of all funds to NAHCON.
In addition, the board revealed that it is in talks with service providers in Saudi Arabia to secure suitable accommodation in Makkah for the 2026 Hajj.
According to the statement, these negotiations are part of the board’s commitment to providing the best possible services to the FCT contingent.
