Nigerian singer and creative entrepreneur, Darey Art Alade, and his wife, Deola, experienced a terrifying ordeal on Friday when their vehicle was engulfed in flames on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.

Deola Art Alade shared a video of the incident on Instagram on Saturday, revealing that the fire occurred around 4 p.m. the previous day. The car was completely destroyed, but no lives were lost.

“Yesterday, around 4 p.m., our car caught fire on the 3rd Mainland Bridge and burnt to the ground,” she wrote. “It was a shocking and painful experience, but we’re incredibly grateful that the driver made it out safely. No lives were lost, and that’s what truly matters.”

Reflecting on the incident, Deola emphasized the importance of life over material possessions.

“We’re not sharing this for sympathy but to remind someone that things can be replaced. Lives cannot,” she said. “We’re choosing to remain thankful to God for protection, for perspective, and for the quiet strength to keep going.”

She encouraged anyone dealing with sudden loss to find hope in difficult times.

“If you’re navigating a sudden loss of any kind, we hope this reminds you: we can rebuild. We can begin again and find the strength to keep going. One breath, one prayer, one step at a time,” she added. “We give thanks in all things. Thank you, Jesus!”

The incident drew concern and relief from several celebrities and media personalities, who flooded the comment section with supportive messages.

Actress Bisola Aiyeola commented, “Thank God you’re all safe. ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾”

Media executive Mo Abudu also wrote, “So grateful nobody was hurt. We give God all the glory for this ❤️🙏🏾. All my love ❤️.”

Television host Frank Edoho reacted, saying, “I thank God for your life. 🙏🏾🙏🏾 Please stay safe, hale and hearty. I have had it with this car! No longevity and the strength it used to have is a fading glory.”

Actor Femi Branch offered words of comfort, stating, “In all things, we give Him thanks 🙏🏾❤️.”
