Wolves sign Nigerian youngster Elvis Elendu

Italian-born Nigerian teenager, Elvis Elendu, has penned his first professional contract with Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolves confirmed the deal in an official announcement, revealing that Elendu was one of three academy prospects handed their maiden professional contracts.

The others are Welsh youngster Makenzie Bradbury and South Korean defender Minkyu Ji.

Elendu, 17, arrived at Molineux from Cambridge United’s academy in the summer of 2024 as an U16 player and has since featured 15 times in the U18 Premier League.

Speaking on the development, Wolves’ Academy Manager of Football, Jon Hunter-Barrett, praised the teenager’s qualities:

“Elvis is a strong, aggressive centre-back who enjoys the defensive side of the game. He thrives in physical duels, reads situations well, and has consistently impressed at this level. I’m excited to see him, along with Makenzie and Minkyu, continue their progression with us.”
