Bukayo Saka has responded defiantly to critics after Arsenal secured the 2026 Premier League title, ending a 22-year wait for the crown.
The winger joined teammates in celebrating at London Colney after Manchester City were held to a draw by AFC Bournemouth, a result that confirmed Arsenal as champions.
In a video shared on Instagram by defender Jurrien Timber, Saka reflected on years of criticism directed at the club and its supporters.
“Light that up,” Saka said.
“Let me tell you something. Twenty-two years, 22 years. There was laughing, there was joking, they’re not laughing anymore.
“Look, it is going to be shining, it is going to be shining bright.”
Arsenal will officially lift the Premier League trophy following their final league game of the season against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The Gunners are also chasing a historic double as they prepare to face Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League final in Budapest on May 30.
