Nigerian street-hop singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has urged the government to place a ban on prank videos following a chaotic incident involving him at the Port Harcourt International Airport.
A viral 53-second video circulating online shows the “Zazu Zeh” crooner dressed in beige attire as he attempts to confront an unidentified individual in the midst of a crowd. The scene quickly turns rowdy, with security officers seen restraining Portable and leading him towards a waiting vehicle.
The footage also captures pushing and shoving among several people, with one person appearing barefoot and another holding what looked like a belt.
The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday, drawing widespread attention across social media platforms.
Reacting to the viral clip in a video shared on his Instagram page on Monday, Portable said he was attacked by what he described as “death pranksters” content creators who stage extreme stunts involving fake deaths for online fame.
He said, “Those people came to prank me. They were death pranksters. It almost turned to cultist level. Ten yellow no fit stand one blue,” apparently bragging about his ability to defend himself during the confrontation.
The singer, known for his controversial public appearances, further accused pranksters and bloggers of tarnishing his image through misleading videos and false news reports.
He added, “Make government stop all those prankers and some fake bloggers. Make them stop all this fake news post just because of small fame. Why una dey spoil person wey get glory name with una platforms?”
Portable also expressed confidence in divine protection, insisting that despite the repeated controversies surrounding him, his “glory” remains intact.
The artiste has been involved in several public disputes and was once declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force.
